The nations of the world gathered at Zhuhai International School this past Saturday. Our campus welcomed 20 international flags to the parade to begin the celebration of the annual International Day. This special event is coordinated each year to bring the school community together for a day of sharing of cultural dress, traditions, and languages, not to mention the sampling of delicious food from around the globe. Friends of ZIS, our parent and staff association, dedicates themselves to this day every year knowing that the more students understand others, the better understanding they will have of themselves. What better way to inspire international mindedness in students! With the exchange of ideas and the exploration of the nuances between histories and languages, students come to appreciate the diversity that makes up the complex world today.
