Welcome to a new school year at Zhuhai International School, proudly celebrating 16 years of service to the expatriate community in Zhuhai and Zhongshan.

ZIS is committed to outstanding signature programmes designed to complement the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). These programmes prioritize holistic development through service learning, interdisciplinary studies and community-based experiences.
Over 50 dedicated teachers make student wellbeing and growth their highest priority. They lead engaging learning that equips students to stretch themselves, take intellectual risks and refine skills in collaboration, critical thinking, communication and reflection. Our students are empowered to keep their options open by pursuing the prestigious IB Diploma. With an IB education, ZIS graduates can access universities worldwide and chart meaningful careers aligned with their varied passions.
At our school, students become globally minded thanks to daily interactions with citizens from over 25 nations and through intercultural experiences built into our curriculum. Their global perspectives are further enriched by field trips, local excursions and travel opportunities that broaden their international outlook. Students also actively participate in team sports and activities within the Pearl River Delta Conference and the Association of Chinese and Mongolian International Schools (ACAMIS). In 2023 our ZIS teams excelled in the renowned academic contests, the World Scholar’s Cup and China’s Business Simulation.

OUR MISSION
At ZIS we strive to develop dynamic, principled, global citizens with the compassion, skills and attitudes of life-long learners who positively contribute to our shared future.
Zhuhai International School was founded in 2007. We have been authorized to deliver the IB continuum in all programmes since 2013.
EXPANSION
We moved into our completed classroom spaces in the finished main building in our classes, allowing the Early Years classrooms to take residence in their present spaces.
PYP Authorization
This year saw our first of three IB authorizations, thus allowing the delivery of the acclaimed inquiry-based model of the Primary Years Programme for students ages 3-11.
MYP + DP Authorization
With the PYP established, we expanded our offerings to include the Middle Years Programme for students ages 11-15 along with the Diploma Programme for students ages 16-18. As a full continuum IB World School, ZIS prepares students for their university studies and for the world beyond.
OUR VISION
ZIS was successfully reauthorized in all three programmes by the IB in 2017 and 2023. After becoming a Council of International Schools member school in 2018, ZIS gained full CIS accreditation in 2023. This prestigious accreditation attests to ZIS’s programmes, operations and culture being aligned with the highest standards for student-centred learning, global citizenship and continuous enhancement.
