On February 12, we held a whole school assembly, celebrating the Chinese New Year. Our amazing Mr. Paul welcomed the parents and introduced us to the PYP performances. And so, the concerts began. Our first performers were by Grade 5 with their impressive dragon and lion dance. After the various PYP and EY performances ranging from dance and music to fashion shows, our MYP students took the stage. With their individual and group performances, everyone was enjoying the music and having a blast. After our students were completed, we were surprised by a professional lion dance team coming all the way from Zhongshan. Everybody ooh’ed and ahh’ed as the lion dancers pranced around majestically with their coordination. We were extremely grateful to have our parents arrive despite the bad weather during the time. We also appreciate the Chinese teachers of ZIS for their hard work and effort that made this event so memorable.
